Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – The excellent management of the Eltari M-230 Waste Bank in Cemorokandang Village, which is a unit of the Malang Waste Bank, attracted the attention of the Yogyakarta City Government to come and visit and learn, Wednesday (22/1/2025).

Yogyakarta City Regional Secretary (Sekda) Aman Yuriadijaya revealed that his group's arrival was to study waste management at the Eltari M-230 Waste Bank, in this case community-based waste management. "Alhamdulillah, we, the Yogyakarta City Government group together with the Yogyakarta Main Waste Bank and the Yogyakarta City Waste Bank Forum, had the opportunity to see firsthand and learn directly at the Eltari Waste Bank," said Aman.
Aman also expressed his appreciation for the waste management at the Eltari Waste Bank. According to him, the management is extraordinary and has become one with the community. Waste that was previously useless is processed into something that has economic value and brings blessings and benefits. "This is very inspiring. Hopefully, this study can be an important reference for the development of waste management in Yogyakarta," explained Aman.
On the same occasion, Cemorokandang Village Head Mokhamad Dulajis said that the waste bank in his area often receives visits related to waste management from various regions. "The city of Yogyakarta is indeed very serious about handling its waste," explained Azis, Mokhamad Dulajis' nickname.
The presence of the group from Yogyakarta City was said to provide more motivation for the environmental heroes in Cemorokandang Village. On this occasion, Azis also expressed his appreciation to the Eltari Waste Bank which was led by Yusup Karyawan with his wife and Pokja II which he said was extraordinary. "We in Cemorokandang Village also get positive energy from the neat and extraordinary waste management at the Eltari Waste Bank," concluded Azis. (cah/yn)
