Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Village/sub-district profile data that includes information about families, natural and human resource potential, institutions, facilities and infrastructure, developments and problems faced have a large role in providing a complete picture of the village/sub-district.

Accurate and up-to-date data is essential for planning, decision-making, and implementation of various development programs at the local level.
This was conveyed by the Regional Secretary of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso when attending and opening the Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for Updating Village/Sub-district Profiles and Evaluation of Village/Sub-district Development in 2025 at the Shalimar Hotel, Malang City, Thursday (30/1/2025).
Erik said that it is very important for sub-districts to update various information and data in each sub-district through the sub-district profile that will be created later so that it can be used as a basis for determining the targets of sub-district development programs and can also be used as a basis for conducting evaluation assessments of regional development.
"This evaluation aims to provide a clear picture of village and sub-district development and as a basis for formulating more appropriate and sustainable development policies," he added.
Therefore, Erik said that by updating accurate, real-time data that is in accordance with current sub-district conditions, it can later be used as a basis for determining development program targets.
Erik further said that accurate data is also important as material for evaluating the development of sub-districts and determining the classification of sub-districts, for example from self-reliant and self-employed sub-districts to self-sufficient sub-districts.
"In addition, accurate and up-to-date data is also one of the requirements to participate in village/sub-district competitions at the provincial or national level. Today's technical guidance activity is a strategic initial step to ensure that the village/sub-district profile data we have is truly quality and reliable," he explained again.
Moreover, accurate data can also be used as a guideline to build a more advanced, independent, and prosperous village. Therefore, he hopes that all participants can follow this technical guidance activity with enthusiasm, actively, and proactively.
"Absorb as much information as possible, have open discussions with the speakers, and take advantage of this opportunity to deepen your understanding and skills that support updating village and sub-district profile data," said Regional Secretary Erik.
The Regional Secretary of Malang City believes that with dedication and good cooperation from all parties, the village/sub-district profile data produced will not only be precise and accurate, but more than that, it can be used as a basis for sustainable and inclusive development. (say/yn)
