Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso asked all ranks of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Malang City Government to be more adaptive and transformative. He conveyed the request in his direction while leading the morning assembly in front of Malang City Hall, Monday (3/2/2025).

Regional Secretary Erik revealed that one of the things that is inherent in ASN and needs to be developed is the ability to adapt and transform, as is the case with every change in leadership of the mayor and deputy mayor every five years.
"Whether it starts from the president, governor, regent, mayor, of course ASN must be adaptive and transformative following the guidelines stated in the development plan, including instructions from the elected regional head. This means that there is a shift in the focus of the development sector, there are directions that need to be prioritized and implemented. This adaptive and transformative ability is what must of course be inherent in all ASN," he said.
He said that the ability to adapt and transform is a necessity that must be possessed to create a positive work environment, so that the main goal of development, namely achieving community welfare, can be realized.
In the implementation of this morning's roll call, the Regional Secretary of Malang City gave an example of habits that have become a comfort zone that should change towards better changes. "I ask that for the next morning roll call, the troops always shift. For example, so far the position leading the salute is Satpol PP, in the next roll call it can be another regional apparatus, so it takes turns," he explained.
The Regional Secretary wants to make it a habit for all ASN of Malang City to have leadership skills (leadership), including marching skills should be possessed by all ASN, not only attached to certain regional apparatuses. This is very important because it is possible that ASN will move positions in other regional apparatuses. "So positive cultures must always be fostered," he concluded. (cah/yn)
