Breadfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso opened and provided direction at the Sukun District Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) which was held in the Sukun District Office hall, Wednesday (5/2/2025).
Regional Secretary Erik said that musrenbang is an important forum to jointly formulate and agree on development plans. "Through this deliberation, it is hoped that aspirations can be absorbed, and a scale of development priorities can be drawn up that are in accordance with the needs of the community in the Sukun District area. This process is a manifestation of our shared commitment to realizing inclusive, equitable, and just development," he said.
On this occasion, Regional Secretary Erik reminded about the importance of participation and involvement of community members in the development planning process, which is carried out through an approach in compiling development planning, including a technocratic, participatory approach. top down nor bottom up.
"Therefore, I appreciate the active role, collaboration and synergy of all elements of society in this musrenbang, both from government elements, society, academics, to the business world. Active participation from all elements of society will produce programs that are more targeted, in accordance with real conditions in the field, and will be the key to the success of development in Sukun District," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Sukun Sub-district Head I Ketut Widi Eka Wirawan said that the Sukun Sub-district Musrenbang was held in order to prepare the 2026 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) involving various elements. "Musrenbang is one of the responsibilities of the government together with the community to formulate development priorities," explained Widi.
Sukun Subdistrict Musrenbang is held every year collaboratively with government officials, the community in order to provide information through the process of submitting development planning, budget amounts, and other strategic matters. This is done so that the community can process information in the form of ideas and understanding to then be able to convey development plans in their respective areas which can be stated in the 2026 RKPD. "The hope is that the direction of development desired by the community will be realized," said Widi.
In addition to the Regional Secretary of Malang City, the musrenbang attended by 170 participants from various elements presented the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Malang City as a resource person. (cah/yn)
