Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Tlogomas Village is preparing to hold a Cultural Parade that will involve thousands of residents on Sunday, February 23, 2025. This Cultural Parade is one of a series of Clean Village activities in Tlogomas Village which carries the theme 'From Kanjuruhan, the Beginning of Nusantara Civilization'.
Tlogomas Village Head, Arwanto, revealed that the Clean Village series of Tlogomas Village had started since February 11, 2025, which began with the mubeng deso ritual, grave pilgrimage, site tracing, tadarus and donations, and a thanksgiving for the cheap tumpeng agung. "The peak is the Tlogomas Cultural Parade, which is usually held every two years in odd years. The last time it was held was in 2019 before the pandemic," explained Arwanto, Wednesday (12/2/2025).
The Clean Village of Tlogomas Village, said Arwanto, is a form of gratitude to God Almighty. "Hopefully this activity can run smoothly, successfully, without any obstacles whatsoever. Through this event, it is hoped that it can boost the economy of residents, both from the MSME sector in Tlogomas, its creative economy, and other sectors," he hoped.
To ensure that the Cultural Parade runs smoothly, the Tlogomas Sub-district has coordinated with related parties and has considered the route to be taken to anticipate the impact of traffic jams.
The Tlogomas Cultural Parade is designed to be interesting. From the theme raised, nine sub-themes have been determined which will then be presented by nine RW contingents in Tlogomas Village. The nine sub-themes include the Kanjuruhan Kingdom, the Demak Kingdom, the Mataram Kingdom during the Sultan Agung era, the VOC era, the Japanese colonial era, the transition period of Independence, the New Order era until now. "The selection of this theme is to provide entertainment but still has historical value as education for the community," he concluded. (cah/yn)
