Malang City Government Strengthens APIP Support in Barjas Procurement Process

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – As an effort to provide understanding and knowledge regarding the role and support provided by the Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP) in the procurement process of goods and services carried out by regional apparatus (PD) as well as technical risk mitigation that can be carried out at all stages of procurement of goods and services, the Procurement of Goods and Services Section (BPBJ) of the Malang City Regional Secretariat held a Smart Chat about Goods and Services activity at the Kraton Ballroom Hotel Tugu, Malang City, Monday (24/2/2025).

Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso who opened the event expressed his positive appreciation for the implementation of this event. Erik said that the process of implementing the procurement of goods and services often has the potential to cause risks that can impact the results of the procurement, even disrupting the smooth running of the procurement process. Therefore, Erik emphasized that the focus of the implementation of the task of 'supervision and inspection' is to take preventive measures, namely preventing errors in the implementation of programs and activities by regional apparatus and correcting errors that have occurred to be used as lessons so that they are not repeated in the future.

"Therefore, APIP as one of the supervisory agencies in the region must continue to transform in carrying out its duties in order to provide added value for regional apparatus in carrying out procurement of goods and services properly, correctly and in accordance with the provisions. This is in line with the function and role of APIP, namely to carry out coaching on the internal control system," he explained.

Erik also advised the Malang City Inspectorate as APIP to continue to assist regional apparatus in carrying out their duties and functions, so that errors can be minimized. Regional Secretary Erik also hopes that this activity can increase insight and knowledge about risk management in the procurement of goods and services and can increase the role and support of APIP for the implementation of the procurement of goods and services properly, correctly and in accordance with the provisions, which in the end can avoid legal problems and government procurement of goods and services in accordance with the principles of procurement of goods/services, namely efficient, effective, transparent, open, competitive, fair, accountable, good, clean, free from corruption and nepotism and in accordance with applicable regulations.

"I am sure we all want to work well and without any problems. Therefore, I hope we all gain more confidence to be more confident. For all my friends, the inspectorate, inspectors, and all auditors provide assistance from the beginning of the process, so that at the end of the activity during the accountability period, there will be as few errors as possible," he added.

On the same occasion, Head of BPBJ Setda Malang City Eko Setyo Mahanani said that the Smart Chat of Goods and Services activity was a routine activity carried out with related stakeholders to resolve several problems of the condition of goods in regional apparatus. This activity was attended by 80 participants who were officials who made commitments to regional apparatus, PPBJ, Inspectors, Irban and auditors in the Malang City Government. Present as speakers at this activity were Malang City Inspector Mulyono, and Sukabumi City Inspector Fahrurrazi. (iu/yn)
