Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) again held Operation Cipta kondisi (Cipton), Thursday night (27/2/2025). Together with cross-sector officers, starting from the TNI-Polri and the Malang City Social Service, Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (Dinsos P3AP2KB), this joint operation targeted rental houses in the Jalan Sigura-gura area, Lowokwaru District.
Secretary of Satpol PP Malang City Aryadi Wardoyo revealed that this operation was carried out to create comfort for the community ahead of the arrival of the Holy Month of Ramadan. In addition, it is also a follow-up to public complaints about indications of couples behaving in a cohabiting manner.
From the results of the operation, Aryadi said officers secured 34 young people, some of whom were indicated to have had sex like a married couple. In several rooms, officers also found many traces of contraceptives and a number of traces of alcoholic beverages.
"Young people caught in this operation were recorded and questioned by officers. Those who are proven to have committed illegal prostitution will be tried and given guidance at the Social Service," added Aryadi.
For those who are really boarding house children, Aryadi said, they will be subject to mandatory reporting sanctions and further guidance. "This operation is also a step to suppress illegal prostitution practices. Malang City Malang as an Education City must be maintained, and it will be better if it is free from social diseases," Aryadi said. (say/yn)
