Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) held a Plenary Meeting with the agenda of delivering the General Views of the Factions on 4 Draft Regional Regulations (Ranperda) of Malang City, Thursday (6/3/2025). Previously, in a plenary meeting on Monday (24/2/2025), the Malang City Government (Pemkot) had provided an explanation regarding four Draft Regional Regulations, namely the Draft Regional Regulation on Amendments to Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2023 concerning Regional Taxes and Regional Levies, the Draft Regional Regulation on the Regional Public Company Bank Perekonomian Rakyat Tugu Artha Sejahtera, the Draft Regional Capital Participation in the Regional Public Company Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Tugu Artha Sejahtera Malang City, and the Draft Regional Regulation on Parking Management and Implementation.
Responding to the views conveyed by the people's representatives, Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat said that his party would coordinate with the relevant regional apparatus to prepare an answer to what the council had conveyed. Wahyu admitted that the views from the DPRD were constructive input and became evaluation material for the Malang City Government.
The four Draft Regional Regulations were prepared to optimize PAD in Malang City. Meanwhile, regarding the strategy to increase PAD in Malang City, Wahyu revealed that there are several steps that will be taken. The initial step is to review existing regulations. "We will also encourage regional apparatuses that generate PAD to innovate. Including earlier there were views and input from the DPRD regarding strategies to maximize PAD. We will follow up, we will discuss and review, of course by considering existing regulations," he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Malang City DPRD, Amithya Ratnanggani Sirraduhita, said that the agenda of this plenary meeting was to convey the aspirations of the factions in the Malang City DPRD regarding the draft regional regulation that would be worked on together. "What are the contents? What would it be like ideally? It has been conveyed by friends. Later it will be studied in depth in the special committee, there are several step "What we will do, such as a public test by presenting stakeholders who are very closely related to the draft regional regulation that we have answered earlier," he concluded.
