Currently, there are updates related to regulations and governance, where several loopholes of irregularities are still found. One of the strategies we are pushing is procurement consolidation to avoid potential fraud, illegal levies, and complicated processes," Ely explained.
MCP 2025 comes with improved indicators to close the gap of corruption with eight main intervention areas that are the focus, including planning, budgeting, procurement of goods and services, public services, supervision of the Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP), ASN management, BMD management, and optimization of regional taxes.
On the same occasion, the Deputy for Legal Affairs and Settlement of Objections of the Corruption Eradication Committee of the Republic of Indonesia, Setya Budi Arijanta explained that procurement consolidation is a strategy that combines several similar goods/services procurement packages, which are carried out at the planning stage, procurement preparation, and/or provider selection by PA/KPA/PPK and/or UKPBJ.
There are six main objectives of implementing procurement consolidation, including reducing procurement process costs (procurement cost), increase the efficiency of government spending, and provide the greatest fulfillment of benefits. In addition, consolidation also aims to empower domestic industries, facilitate transactions through the method e-purchasing, and standardization of specifications to reduce the tendency for procurement that does not meet needs.
