Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Various preparations have been made in order to make the Madyopuro Mangano event a success. The event initiated by Madyopuro residents is planned to be held on April 4-10, 2025 on Jalan Danau Jonge & Madyopuro Terminal, Malang City. Not only is it an exhibition of superior culinary products, this event also enlivens the Anniversary of Malang City which falls on April 1, 2025.
Malang Mayor Dr. Ir. Wahyu Hidayat, MM appreciated the residents' initiative to develop the potential of their region, and attended the meeting in person in preparation for Madyopuro Mangano, Saturday (8/3/2025). "Madyopuro is the gateway to Malang City, so the face of Malang City is here. Events like this have strategic value, and this is part of a strategy to break up the crowds while also revitalizing new economic nodes," said Wahyu.
In addition to enlivening the 111th anniversary of Malang City, Wahyu hopes that this event will also be a trigger for the economic movement of Malang City. The number one person in the ranks of the Malang City Government said that the Madyopuro Mangano event is in line with the spirit of promoting the holding of 1.000 events every year which is one of the flagship programs of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat-Ali Muthohirin. "Because we have studied it, just one event can have a positive impact on the economy. Hopefully initiatives like this will also emerge in other areas," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Head of RW 18, Madyopuro Village, Reza Setyawan, said that this event was the first validation test to strengthen the support for the initiative to build the Madyopuro area as a new face for the entrance to Malang City.
"The initiative and active participation of all Madyopuro residents are the main keys. The Madyopuro RW Head Association, LPMK, BKM, Karang Taruna and several Community Organizations in Madyopuro Village have joined and worked together from the beginning. This is the main basic capital that can be a solid foundation for awareness of living together in building the Madyopuro area in the future," said the man who is a member of the Madyopuro Community Working Group (Pokjamas).
Furthermore, Reza said that his party has planned to provide 111 booth spaces and cultural spaces for Halal Culinary Tourism. "The number of 111 spaces is a symbol of the 111th Anniversary of Malang City. Of the 111 spaces that have been provided by Pokjamas Madyopuro, 57 spaces will be given to 57 sub-districts throughout Malang City. We hope that all 57 sub-districts can fill and utilize them to showcase their superior culinary product marketing. This showcase is also to open up space for collaboration and investment," he continued.
Pokjamas Madyopuro also invited all parties to jointly build Madyopuro as the new face of the entrance to Malang City. "We open spaces for initiative, participation and collaboration as widely as possible for all residents of Malang City. So, building the Madyopuro Area is not only for the residents of Madyopuro alone. But to build the future of Malang City to be more Mbois Classy," he concluded.
For your information, the existence of the Malang-Pandaan (Mapan) Toll exit in Madyopuro Village, Kedungkandang District makes this area the gateway to Malang City.
