Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City Police released the results of the Semeru 2025 Community Disease Operation (Pekat) in the yard of Malang City Hall, Tuesday (11/3/2025). Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat at this press conference was appointed to read the results of the operation which aims to prevent the circulation of drugs, gambling, crime, immorality, and alcoholic beverages.
From the results of the action, the number of cases successfully uncovered by the police was 41 cases with details of 16 cases being Operation Targets (TO) and 25 non-TO cases with a total of 53 suspects.
In detail, for thuggery cases there were 23 cases (9 TO cases and 14 non-TO cases), pornography two cases (TO), prostitution two cases (non-TO), liquor one case (non-TO), drugs nine cases (three TO cases, and six non-TO cases), gambling three cases (one TO case, two non-TO cases), and street crime one case of TO.
The evidence in this operation includes cash worth Rp1.410.000,-, 1.808 bottles of liquor, 86,19 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 0,48 grams of marijuana, four mobile phones and two motorbikes.
Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat also appreciated the results of Operation Pekat Semeru. He hopes that in the future the synergy with the Forkopimda ranks can be further improved, especially in efforts to continue to suppress crime. Thus, Malang City will become a safe and comfortable city for anyone who comes.
"If this is the case, investment and the economy will grow rapidly, which will ultimately bring about welfare for the community," explained the number one person in the Malang City Government.
However, Wahyu emphasized that it takes an active role from the community and all elements to realize it all. Because, the hard work of law enforcement officers will not be optimal without the support and active role of all elements. (say/yn)
