Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – 3.871 community proposals submitted to the 2025 Malang City Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) were successfully accommodated. This number covers 50,4 percent of the total community proposals submitted, which is 7.682 proposals. This was conveyed by Malang Deputy Mayor Ali Muthohirin in the 2026 RPKD Musrenbang and the 2025-2029 Malang City RPJMD Ranwal FKP, Wednesday (19/3/2025).
Deputy Mayor of Malang Ali Muthohirin, who was the keynote speaker at this event, said that the proposals received would be further studied to be included in the 2026 Malang City Medium-Term Regional Development Plan (RPJMD) along with the flagship programs and Dasa Bakti of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Malang.
"This year, because we followed the RPJMD in 2024, we did it in several Ngalam Pinter schools, scholarships and so on became a priority. For 2026, of course, the first is in accordance with our vision and mission, which is increasing resources and the economy," he said.
In addition to increasing resources and the economy, problems such as flooding, garbage, infrastructure and the high unemployment rate in Malang City will also be a priority for the Malang City Government. When asked about the influence of efficiency in the development planning of Malang City, Ali explained that this would not have a significant effect, because the portion of public services is not included in the efficiency category carried out by the Malang City Government.
"Actually, the efficiency in Malang City is not that significant, only the possibility of technical expenditures. We have coordinated with all regional apparatuses to ensure that the need for public services is not reduced at all. So for public services, it is not included in the efficiency category," he exclaimed.
On the same occasion, the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) Dwi Rahayu said that the number of proposals received above increased by 2,1 percent from the number of proposals accommodated in the previous year.
"With the details of the children's thematic proposals, 148 proposals, 144 were accommodated. For the disability theme, 179 proposals, 165 were accommodated. For the elderly theme, 85 proposals, 77 were accommodated. For women's theme, 318 proposals were accommodated, 278, and for youth, the most were 730 proposals, 700 were accommodated," he explained.
In addition to accommodating proposals through Musrenbang, Bappeda Malang City also accommodates proposals received through the DPRD's Main Thoughts (Pokir). Of the 4.318 proposals received, 4.020 proposals were successfully accommodated. The proposals have also been verified by regional apparatus to see the possibility of their implementation.
Dwi further explained that the proposals that have come in are currently still dominated by proposals in physical form, such as repairing facilities and others. Even so, the number is not much different and is quite balanced with the development proposals from the community. The community development proposals that have come in are expected to produce a sustainable process, where the community does not just stop at the process of receiving training, but continues. According to him, with a sustainable process, this can reduce the unemployment rate in Malang City.
"For example, he has received training, he is smart, he has the tools, but he doesn't have the capital, then what? That's what we always coordinate with the regional apparatus, are there any efforts that can be directed to get capital assistance, so that the community can walk, and the unemployment rate can be reduced.
