Launching the Theme and Logo for the 111th Anniversary of Malang City, One Heart Carving Out Achievements
Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) officially launched the theme and logo for the 111th Anniversary of Malang City at the Ngalam Command Center (NCC) Room of Malang City Hall, Thursday (20/3/2025). The inauguration was carried out by the Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat accompanied by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso.
The theme of the 111th Anniversary of Malang City in 2025 is 'One Heart Carving Out Achievements', which was chosen to represent the spirit of togetherness, synergy, and a strong sense of belonging from all elements of society.
"Of course, what is being held is part of an effort to realize the vision of Towards Malang Mbois and Berkelas. By continuing to innovate, one of which is through Ngalam Pinter from a devotional program called Dasa Bakti, which emphasizes the importance of collaboration and creativity in building a smart and competitive city," explained Wahyu.
In line with the spirit of collaboration, the design of the 111th Anniversary logo of Malang City is the result of collaboration between the Malang City Government and the Indonesian Graphic Designers Association (ADGI) Malang Chapter. Concept and development The 111th Anniversary logo of Malang City is a creative contribution and dedication from Achmad Choir (Studio Winid), Iqbal Taufiq (316), and Kukuh Anjasmara (Akroma Studio). This partnership pattern has entered its third year and is one of the visual design collaborations between the local government and ADGI.
"The logo introduced today has various elements that represent the spirit of aspiration and shared hope for the City of Malang. Each line and color reflects the values, pride, diversity and fighting spirit to carve out achievements, we must move up a class. The color is also the color of Arema, which is blue. Then there is a gradation of colors that represent the attachment of all ages in building the city, solidarity. Then 111, strung from the number one with the theme One Heart Carving Out Achievements. We can take the Greeting of One Soul, there is togetherness to synergize together, collaborate to achieve achievements," he explained.
He further explained that the clenched fist shape symbolizes strength and fighting spirit in the spirit of togetherness to build Malang City. While the ladder element symbolizes the steps that must be taken to achieve the goal. "Every level is a process to achieve achievement," he said.
The silhouette of the number 111 which also forms the initials of Malang City 'M' as a representation of unity, living hand in hand to achieve goals. While the color gradation symbolizes the involvement of all ages in building the city, reflecting harmony, continuity, and the role of each generation in realizing an inclusive and sustainable future.
"With the spirit of 'One Heart Carving Out Achievements', it is hoped that all elements of society, both government, private sector, communities, and Malang City residents can actively contribute to creating a prosperous, cultured, and sustainable city," said the number one person in the Malang City Government.
The Mayor of Malang did not forget to give his appreciation for the contribution of creative works by the talents of Malang City. After being launched, the socialization and dissemination of the theme and logo of Malang City Anniversary will be intensified to the people of Malang City.
