50 Scout Members Help Secure Eid 2025

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – 50 members of the Malang City Scout Branch Office (Kwarcab) will be involved in securing the 1446 Hijri Eid al-Fitr holiday and the 2025 homecoming flow. After attending the 2025 Ketupat Semeru Operation Troops Roll Call the day before, the scout members who became volunteers have now officially departed through the Release of the 2025 Scouts Care for Eid Security Task Force at Malang City Hall, Friday (21/3/2025).

Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat greatly appreciated the contribution of the scouts involved in this activity. "The presence of these Scouts is very helpful, because the number of security personnel is also limited. The Scout Task Force is always active and carries out its duties well, coordination is also good," explained the Mayor of Malang after the activity.

As the Head of the Malang City Branch Advisory Council (Mabicab), Wahyu hopes that these scout members can show the community the values ​​of responsibility, discipline, and the spirit to help. "I am sure that from scouting activities, superior cadres of the nation will be formed," he said motivatingly.

Not only that, Wahyu reminded the officers and volunteers involved in this security to always be careful and maintain their safety while on duty. The Malang City Government also ensured support for this scouting activity. In addition to assistance from the Malang City Police, the Malang City Government prepared a special budget allocated to be managed by the Malang City Scout Kwarcab, including for the development of volunteers involved in security.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Malang City Scout Movement Branch Office, Heri Sunarko, said that the 50 members of the Penegak and Pandega Scouts came from three work units (saka), namely Saka Bayangkara (supervised by the Police), Saka Wira Kartika (supervised by the Indonesian Army), and Saka Dirgantara (supervised by the Indonesian Air Force) as well as from the ambalan and racana throughout the Malang Branch Office who had been previously equipped.

"We think they are the 'chosen ones'. They devote themselves to the community, nation and country by giving their time and energy. Even though they should be able to enjoy their vacation, they choose to be involved in security," said Heri in appreciation.

The task of the volunteers will be to help officers to untangle traffic jams, be a guide for tourists coming to Malang City, and carry out patrol duties. "We build communication with the community that scouts are not just clapping and singing, so we continue to do this kind of service. We are also present in disaster management to stunting management," explained Heri.

These scout members will later be spread across three security posts (pospam) and one service post (posyan) which will be operated 24 hours non-stop from March 23-April 8, 2025. Pospam is located at MCC, Madyopuro Toll Exit, and Soekarno Hatta-UB Bridge, and one posyan is located in front of Kota Baru Train Station. (ari/yn)
