Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Hermina Tangkubanprahu Hospital launched an endoscopy service which is a medical procedure to examine internal organs without performing major surgery. The inauguration of this service was officially launched by the Mayor of Malang, Wahyu Hidayat, at the hospital located on Jl. Tangkuban Perahu, Malang City, Friday (21/3/2025).

The Mayor of Malang in his speech expressed his appreciation for the launch of this service. According to him, endoscopy services are very much needed to check the symptoms experienced by patients from a disease. "This is an added value for Hermina Tangkubanprahu Hospital, along with the increasing service facilities for the community," said Wahyu.
On this occasion, Wahyu advised to always maintain health, because currently many people have irregular eating patterns, and also high levels of stress due to the intensity of work.
"This can cause digestive system disorders. Therefore, whatever the job, health must be number one. We must be able to manage a healthy lifestyle so that our health is maintained," said the number one person in the Malang City Government.
Wahyu further said that the cooperation that has been well established between RS Hermina Tangkubanprahu and the Malang City Government must continue to be strengthened. "Hopefully in the future more hospitals in Malang City will have endoscopy services, so that services to the community will be more optimal," he hoped.
Meanwhile, Director of Hermina Tangkubanprahu Hospital, dr. Agnes Widayu Estiningsih, MMRS explained that this endoscopic examination was carried out using a tool called an endoscope, a tube-shaped tool equipped with a flashlight and camera at the end. "This endoscopy service is planned to be operational next week," explained Aqnes.
He revealed that currently several endoscopy patients are already queuing to receive treatment at Hermina Tangkubanprahu Hospital. Dr. Agnes also hopes that the launch of this endoscopy service will improve health services at Hermina Hospital. (cah/yn)
