Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The special plenary meeting of the 111th Anniversary of the Malang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) was held for the first time, Tuesday (25/3/2025). The moment of reflection on 111 years of the journey held in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Malang City DPRD was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Malang Ali Muthohirin, former chairman of the previous council, the ranks of the Forkopimda Plus, and representatives from the Batu City Government and the Malang Regency Government.
In a series of plenary meetings, videos of the leadership journey of the council chairmen and the history of Malang City were shown. This was done so that the public would know that this anniversary was extraordinary, meaningful and very memorable.
The Chairperson of the Malang City DPRD, Amithya Ratnanggani Siraduhita, expressed his hope that in the future the Malang City DPRD could be even better and always be able to provide the best for the community.
Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of Malang Ali Muthohirin when met after the plenary meeting said that the historical video that was played implied a story and history that must be used as material for collective reflection, about how the existence of the Malang City DPRD in carrying out its legislative function for the sake of development progress.
The development of Malang City from the past to the present, he said, cannot be separated from the work and performance of the previous legislators. The order of life in Malang City that touches various aspects, is legalized so that it has legal force and becomes the basis for the order of life.
"Various fundamental regulations were drafted and established at that time to create harmony and balance. The effort paid off by looking at the face of Malang City now. Extraordinary growth in the economic, tourism, social, and cultural sectors, has led Malang City to become a comfortable and friendly ideal destination to live in," added Deputy Mayor Ali.
Ali further said that this is the fruit of success that should be grateful for together. Success that is certainly born from collaboration and synergy between the legislative and executive, success that is obtained thanks to the same desire and goals and hopes, namely to bring progress to the City of Malang.
"So if we correlate the values of the journey that has been passed with the progress of Malang City as it is now, then the existence of the leaders and members of the council is very meaningful for the progress of Malang City," he explained.
On the momentum of the commemoration of the anniversary of the Malang City DPRD and the anniversary of Malang City both entering the age of 111 years, the Deputy Mayor invited all parties to jointly carve out achievements, the best achievements in the next five years.
"Let's realize together the City of Malang Mbois and Berkelas. However, all of that must be supported by the birth of ideas, concepts and participatory aspirations that are able to collaborate and synergize legislative and executive functions in harmony for the progress of Malang City," concluded Deputy Mayor Ali.
