Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The signing of the Joint Agreement on the Initial Draft of the Malang City Medium-Term Regional Development Plan (RPJMD) for 2025-2029 between the Leadership of the Malang City DPRD and the Mayor of Malang was held in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Malang City DPRD, Thursday (27/3/2025).
Met after signing the agreement, Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat said that the contents of the RPJMD are an elaboration of the vision and mission that he carried when he ran for Mayor of Malang with Deputy Mayor of Malang Ali Muthohirin.
The vision and mission, said Wahyu, are the embodiment of various things that are the desires and needs of the citizens of Malang City. "The vision and mission that have been included in the RPJMD will be implemented in our government for the next five years," he added.
Wahyu further said that in compiling the RPJMD, it refers to the RPJMN and RPJPD of East Java Province. Thus, various development programs that will be implemented later are linear with the Central Government and the East Java Provincial Government.
The vision and mission are supported by five leading programs, namely in the field of education, such as providing free uniforms for students, scholarships to 1.000 outstanding students each year, then 1.000 events in one year themed arts and culture, sports and for MSME actors, which are expected to boost the community's economy.
Next is an incentive of IDR 50 million in development funds for RT to fulfill the needs of the RT environment, and fifth is the resolution of basic problems, such as natural disasters, parking and traffic congestion.
In addition, the Mayor of Malang together with the Deputy Mayor of Malang also carried out the ten superior devotion programs so that in the future Malang City will be even better, which include Ngalam Tahes, Ngalam Ngopeni, Ngalam Nyaman, Ngalam Seger, Ngalam Asyik, Ngalam Rijik, Ngalam Idrek, Ngalam Laris, Ngalam Santun, and Ngalam Pinter.
Responding to this, the Chairman of the Malang City DPRD, Amithya Ratnanggani Siradhuhita admitted that he would support and control the implementation of various programs that were proposed. "We will also review it further in the DPRD special committee (Pansus) so that the results are optimal," he said. (say/yn)
