Starfruit (malangkota.go.id) – Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat attended the Halalbihalal of the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Indonesian Real Estate Association (REI) Malang Raya Commissariat which was held at the Grand Mercure Malang Mirama Hotel, Malang City, Tuesday (15/4/2025).
In addition to being a gathering event, this halalbihalal moment is an event to strengthen synergy and collaboration between property players, banks and also the government. "This halalbihalal is an event for collaboration to create one vision and one mission to realize the number of residents in harmony with the number of houses, with its various elements," said Wahyu.
In this collaboration with REI, Wahyu said that many sectors are targeted, so there needs to be a common understanding. "Because it could be, the tourist is in Batu City, they live in Malang Regency, and they work or study in Malang City," he said.
Wahyu further said that the provision of housing cannot only be realized with administrative boundaries, but must also be a shared unity. "So Malang Raya, both Malang City, Batu City and Malang Regency need to sit together to align perceptions, so that they have the same policy regarding the provision of housing," said Wahyu.
Similarly, the Head of REI Malang Raya Commissariat M. Yunandi emphasized the importance of synergy between developers and local governments. Given the ease of licensing, promotional collaboration and access to housing subsidy programs are key to encouraging equal distribution of housing needs.
"We encourage all REI members to actively innovate in establishing partnerships with stakeholders in the hope that REI can continue to be a driving force for economic growth, especially in the housing sector," concluded Yunandi. (cah/yn)
