Taking Home Three Awards, Mayor Wahyu: Trantibumlinmas Must Be a Shared Spirit

Sidoarjo (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City has once again made an achievement. No less than three awards were won at once. The Best Regency/City Award for Organizing the 2024 Kirab Pataka Jer Basuki Mawa Beya, the Best Regency/City for Organizing Trantibumlinmas 2024, and Gadang Village representing Malang City as the Second Place Winner of the Best Village/City for Patrolling Sijalinmajataru 2024.

Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat accompanied by the Head of Malang City Satpol PP Heru Mulyono received an award presented directly by the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indah Parawansa during the National Readiness Roll Call for Firefighting and Rescue of Satpol PP and Satlinmas at the East Java Provincial Level at the Sidoarjo Square, Thursday (17/4/2025).

"Alhamdulillah. We should be grateful because Malang City has once again shown its contribution by winning three awards at the provincial level. Thank you to all elements and regional apparatus, especially Satpol PP who continue to work together to bring a good name to our beloved city," said Mayor Wahyu.

For information, the Kirab Pataka award was given to Malang City for the best participation in carrying out the Kirab Pataka Jer Basuki Mawa Beya in September 2024. The Trantibumlinmas Implementation Award was given for the success of Malang City in organizing public order and security services as well as community protection.

Meanwhile, Gadang Sub-district was deemed successful in implementing the Sijalinmajataru Patrol (Sigap Jaga Lindungi Masyarakat Jawa Timur), a patrol program carried out simultaneously in all villages and sub-districts in East Java, especially in the run-up to the New Year.

The Mayor of Malang said that this success is a manifestation of the commitment of the Satpol PP ranks, including the fire department and the linmas as the frontline guards in matters of public order and security. "This award is a manifestation of our commitment as well as appreciation for those who have been present not only in emergency situations, but also in everyday life, ensuring that residents remain peaceful, orderly, and protected. I hope this achievement can be a motivation to continue to work better in serving the community," he said.

Finally, he advised that Trantibumlinmas must be a shared spirit. According to him, peace, public order, and community protection are not only the responsibility of Satpol PP, Damkar, or Linmas alone. But also the result of synergy between officers and active participation of residents in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for all.

"Through this success, I invite all elements of society to make trantibumlinmas a shared spirit. Peace and order cannot be realized by the authorities alone, but it requires collaboration and concern from all of us in keeping Malang City safe, comfortable, and harmonious," he concluded. (sfr/yn)
