Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat inaugurated 94 Administrator Officials and Supervisory Officials, as well as Functional Officials within the Malang City Government (Pemkot) in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall, Thursday (17/4/2025).
In his direction, the Mayor of Malang revealed that this rotation was not something strange because it was done to fill several positions that were currently vacant.
"Actually, this is a common thing, because there are several vacant positions, due to retirement. Then we also want to see and evaluate the performance that has been done so far," he said.
Wahyu further explained that ASN shifts will likely be carried out again in the near future. Several positions, especially at the echelon II level, will be vacant in May, so there needs to be rotation in filling the vacancies. Wahyu admitted that the process of forming a selection committee (pansel) for the assessment had been completed and had obtained permission from the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri).
"This morning we conducted a test or assessment for echelon II, because this year there are five vacant echelon II positions. From there, after we conduct the assessment, we will also conduct an open selection. So automatically after someone goes up, there will definitely be another rotation," he added.
Wahyu hopes that with this mutation, the performance of the Malang City Government will become more solid. He likened the vision and mission of Mbois Berkelas to a vehicle that he and the Deputy Mayor of Malang Ali Muthohirin are driving, with the hope that his staff can work together towards the same goal, which in this case is to improve the welfare of the people of Malang City.
"The carriage must also be in accordance with my vision and mission. Hopefully they can also work together, realizing Mbois Berkelas to realize the desires of the people of Malang City," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Human Resources Development and Personnel Agency (BKPSDM), Totok Kasianto, said that 94 ASN were rotated, with details of 88 ASN at the administrator and supervisor level, plus six functional officials.
"The number of administrators for echelon IIIA is 11 including sub-district heads. For IIIB administrators there are 14, IVA supervisory positions there are 22. Echelon IVB supervisory positions there are 41 people, the total number is 88. In it there are eight village heads plus functional positions there are four teachers and two young analysts for HR apparatus," he explained. (iu/yn)
