Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – To celebrate the 111th anniversary of Malang City, the Malang City Government (Pemkot) collaborated with the bicycle community Go Cycling and Racing (GCR) held a Ride For 111 KM 'Celebrating 111 Years of Malang on Two Wheels' which took start and finish at Malang City Hall, Sunday (20/4/2025).

Followed by hundreds of cyclists, the route passed through included Pakis, Turen, Kepanjen, Lahor Dam, passing Kepanjen again until finally returning to Malang City Hall with a total distance of 111 kilometers.

Of course, at that age there are many hopes and desires to make Malang City more advanced and developed in accordance with the vision and mission of Mbois Berkelas," he said.
Wahyu said that apart from being part of a series of activities to commemorate the 111th Anniversary of Malang City, this cycling event is also a manifestation of the Dasa Bakti flagship program, namely Ngalam Tahes, which can also increase... Sports Tourism in Malang City.
"So while cycling, while enjoying the tourism and beautiful natural landscapes in Malang. Hopefully, from this cycling event, it will not only make you healthy, but also a bonus of being able to enjoy the scenery around the cycling route," said the number one person in the Malang City Government.
Likewise, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, who is also the chairman of the committee for the event, said that the holding of this event was an effort to realize one of the Dasa Bakti of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Malang, namely Ngalam Tahes, namely to create Malang City as a healthy city, and also a Classy Mbois.
"It means healthy plus plus. Mbois means that the community can actively participate in building Malang City, not only in terms of infrastructure and physical, but also non-physical, so that Malang City residents are not only physically healthy but also mentally healthy, which will all synergize to advance Malang City to become more classy," he explained.
Erik explained that this cycling activity is a routine agenda carried out in order to enliven the anniversary of Malang City every year. This year, there were 21 bicycle communities throughout the Malang Raya area and several cities in East Java who participated in the gowes which is also called collab ride this.
Erik said that the many communities that joined were a manifestation of the unity of loving Malang City from various elements within it. "So there are many bicycle communities with various genres.
