Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Civil Servants (PNS) within the Malang City Government (Pemkot) continue to be invited to strengthen their commitment to improving integrity and professionalism. That message was emphasized by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso when he became a resource person in the Strengthening Integrity, Discipline and Professionalism activity in building the Corps Spirit (Korsa) of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Malang City Government which was held by the Malang City Human Resources and Personnel Agency (BKPSDM), Thursday (24/4/2025).
On that occasion, Erik reminded the participants that improving integrity and professionalism must also come from each individual. One way to foster it is to continue to improve competence, which of course will be useful for the career development of the civil servants themselves.
"So I invite my friends to get out of their comfort zone, which can later improve their competencies which in the future will be useful for our career development," he said.
In addition to developing themselves, Erik also reminded the participants that in working as ASN, especially in the Malang City Government (Pemkot) environment, the ability to build good communication between fellow employees is needed. With the various differences, employees are required to be able to build communication so that there is no miscommunication and misinterpretation in doing their jobs.
"We need to build borders, open ourselves up and understand the environment, so that what we upgrade from ourselves is not only on an academic scale, but also upscaling ourselves as human beings," he added.
Erik further said that with this strengthening of integrity, it is hoped that it will further strengthen the esprit de corps that binds ASN to increasingly show their loyalty to the Malang City Government which is their place of shelter.
"Therefore, it is necessary to maintain 'our home', do not let the Malang City Government as a home experience degradation or weakening. Do not let there be friction between individuals, so that the hope is that ASN can strengthen each other in building Malang City," he concluded. (say/yn)
