Lowokwaru (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat attended the 102nd birthday reception of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and the halalbihalal of the extended Nahdliyin family of Malang City which was held at the Unisma campus in Malang City, Thursday (24/4/2025).
Apart from being a medium for fostering friendship to forgive each other, the essence of this halalbihalal, according to the Mayor of Malang, is also as an event to build ties and togetherness.
"Hopefully our togetherness will further increase intimacy and strengthen the bonds of friendship for the sake of strengthening Islamic brotherhood so that harmony between religious communities can be created," he said.
Furthermore, the number one person in the Malang City Government said that his party has committed to realizing the vision of Towards a Beautiful and Classy Malang by carrying out four missions, namely building human resources that are cultured, optimistic and innovative.
In addition, it is also to create an independent, established and adaptive economy and community welfare, create a beautiful, collaborative, sustainable and sustainable urban environment, and create efficient and synergistic governance and public services.
"As an effort to further solidify our sincere intentions, the flagship program Dasa Bakti is also a main strategy. This program is designed as a concrete and integrated step that directly touches the needs of the community through ten real devotion movements that cover various aspects of life," explained Wahyu.
To achieve this, he said, it is very much realized that it requires the full participation and support of elements of society, including the role of the NU extended family, especially in efforts to create a conducive atmosphere for the growth and development of religious nuances in everyday life.
"No less important is to build the mental and moral quality of an Islamic society based on the values of monotheism. All of this is aimed at improving the quality of our faith and devotion to Allah SWT," he said again.
Furthermore, the Mayor of Malang stated that the various achievements achieved by the City of Malang so far were certainly inseparable from the support and active participation of religious organizations.
For that reason, through this halalbihalal moment, his party hopes that NU Malang City will always unite its steps, build the quality of self and organization towards a better direction, so that it can synergize with the Malang City Government together to advance and build the glory of the city.
