Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government received a comparative study visit from the Buleleng Regency Government in the Malang City Hall Meeting Room, Friday (26/4/2025). The comparative study group was in order to increase knowledge related to public relations publications and the use of information technology, especially systems. Command center This was led by the Deputy Regent of Buleleng Gede Supriatna and received by the Regional Secretary of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso and related staff.

In his speech, Erik explained the demographics of Malang City and the direction of city development through the vision of 'Towards Malang Mbois and Classy'. This vision is realized through the flagship program of the Dasa Bakti of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Malang, which is compiled based on the aspirations of the community and covers various aspects of life. One of them is the Ngalam Pinter program which is integrated with the concept smart city through the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).
“Malang is known to have Tri Bina Cita, namely as a City of Education, City of Tourism, and City of Industry. In it, of course, there is a part of the government that is responsive, including in terms of public communication. And we hope that cooperation between regions like this can continue," said Erik Setyo Santoso.
Erik added, the implementation smart city in Malang City is supported by strategic infrastructure such as space Ngalam Command Center (NCC). "In government terms it is known as SPBE, and Command center This not only benefits us, but also other agencies in supporting the smooth running of their tasks," he added.
Meanwhile, Buleleng Deputy Regent, Gede Supriatna, conveyed the reason for choosing Malang City as the destination for the comparative study, in addition to the similarity of regional potential, there is also an emotional closeness. "Some of us, including myself, have studied here. So there is a special closeness," he said frankly.
He said that Buleleng Regency is the largest region in Bali with superior potential in the fields of agriculture, plantations, marine, tourism, and UMKM which are considered to have similar characteristics to Malang City. "We also learned from Malang City how to revive the economic area based on heritage like in Kayutangan," he added.
During the visit, the group also directly reviewed the space Ngalam Command Center (NCC), which is the digital control center of Malang City connected to hundreds of CCTVs spread across strategic points to improve security and quick response to various incidents. The Malang City Government also introduced the Malang Mbois digital service portal which makes it easier for the public to access various public services in an integrated manner. (yul/yn)
