Malang (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat attended the Farewell Meeting of the Commander of the Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base (Danlanud) Malang, Saturday (3/5/2025). The leadership of the Abd Saleh Air Force Base has changed, Col. PNB. Reza RR Sastranegara, S.Sos., MAP., MNSS served as Danlanud Abd Saleh replacing Marsma TNI Firman Wirayuda, ST, M.Soc.SC.
Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat revealed that during his tenure as Commander of Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base Malang, Marsma TNI Firman has made many extraordinary contributions through solid cooperation, synergistic coordination, and harmonious relations with the Malang City Government.
"The memory will always remain as a form of his high dedication and loyalty. Through the close synergy and collaboration, various joint programs and agendas have been implemented well, in order to support the creation of effective governance and quality public services," said Wahyu.
Wahyu also took this opportunity to convey that his party greatly appreciates and values the professionalism, as well as the spirit of togetherness that has been shown by the ranks of the Indonesian Air Force, especially Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base. "Therefore, on behalf of myself and all ranks of the Malang City Government, I express my highest gratitude and appreciation," he added.
The number one person in the Malang City Government also conveyed his welcome and congratulations on his assignment to Col. PNB. Reza RR Sastranegara, S.Sos., MAP., MNSS. Wahyu hopes that the presence of this new leader can be a new positive energy in strengthening the relationship that has been well-established so far.
"We welcome with open arms and great hope for the creation of a closer and more productive working relationship. Malang City, as a city rich in history, education, and culture, is very open to synergy with defense institutions such as the Indonesian Air Force," he explained.
Wahyu further said, under the leadership of Col. PNB. Reza, his party believes that Abdulrachman Saleh Air Base will play an increasingly active role in supporting regional stability and development.
"Hopefully this moment of saying goodbye will be a reflection of our spirit of togetherness and dedication in continuing to serve the community, nation, and beloved country. Let us make this meeting a starting point to continue to strengthen synergy, maintain the spirit of nationalism, and build a better future together," he concluded. (asa/yn).
