Surabaya (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City presented a beautiful performance in the cultural parade which was part of the series of the 9th National Conference (Munas) of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (APEKSI) in Surabaya, Friday (5/2025/98). The cultural parade which was held along Jalan Tunjungan to the Surabaya City Youth Hall was opened by the Mayor of Surabaya who is also the Chairman of the APEKSI Board of Directors, Eri Cahyadi and was attended by representatives from XNUMX APEKSI member cities.

Carrying the theme 'Harmony of Diversity in One Heart to Carve Out Achievements Towards a Classy Malang City', the Malang City delegation presented 'Trenggana Sumapala Bumi Malang', which illustrates the strong spirit of Malangan arts and culture amidst the current of globalization and technological developments.
The parade was led directly by the Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Malang Ali Muthohirin and the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso. The appearance of the Sardulo Djojo Art Studio and Putra Mandala Wisanggeni Malang City with bantengan art and various traditional and creative dances captivated thousands of pairs of eyes of the people of Surabaya and tourists who watched.

The presence of Sima (Malang Lion), which is the mascot of the 2025th East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) XNUMX Malang City also stole the attention of the audience.
Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat also expressed his appreciation and pride to all parties involved in this cultural carnival. "Malang City wants to show its cultural arts. There are jaranan, bantengan, sendratari, a combination of dance, music and drama, so that the Indonesian people can know that there is a culture that can be highlighted.
