Malang Mayor Appreciates Indonesian Navy's Community Service and Health Service

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Mayor of Malang, Wahyu Hidayat attended the Indonesian Navy's Community Service and Health Service which was combined with the National Conference (Munas) of the Alumni Association of SMAN 3 Malang at the Rampal Field in Malang City, Sunday (11/5/2025). He also expressed his appreciation and pride for the good collaboration between the Malang City Government, the Indonesian Navy, and alumni of SMAN 3 Malang.

Symbolically, on this occasion the Mayor of Malang also handed over basic food packages to people in need. "Alhamdulillah, in this activity more than 1.000 patients have also been handled. This is real evidence that cross-sector cooperation can bring great benefits to the community," explained Wahyu.

The Malang City Government, he said, also played an active role in this activity through the involvement of the Malang City Health Service (Dinkes) which provided health workers from health centers and hospitals to provide health services to the community.

On the same occasion, the Commander of the Indonesian Navy Main Base (Danlantamal) V Rear Admiral TNI Dr. Arya Delano, SE, M.Pd., M.Han., explained that this activity was part of the Indonesian Navy Headquarters program which was deployed to regional bases to get closer to the community.

"We are carrying out this TNI AL Community Service in Malang as a form of community service, and this has received full support from the Malang City Government and alumni of SMAN 3," he said in appreciation.

According to him, in addition to health services and social assistance, the community also received assistance in the form of facilities such as free glasses and dentures. "The enthusiasm of the community is extraordinary. We are proud to be able to help, as well as encourage economic growth through the presence of MSMEs in this activity," concluded Arya.

Various activities carried out this morning included health checks, free medical treatment, distribution of basic necessities, an MSME bazaar, and entertainment in the form of... fashion show from alumni of SMAN 3 Malang and also the appearance marching bands from SMA Taruna Nala is presented beautifully.
