Malang (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) continues to improve in building effective and responsive governance. One of its efforts is realized through Training Leadership and Strengthening Teamwork Building which was opened directly by the Mayor of Malang, Wahyu Hidayat accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ali Muthohirin and the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso, Thursday evening (15/5/2025).
The Mayor of Malang, Wahyu Hidayat, emphasized that this training is a vehicle that can provide a positive output in accelerating the implementation of bureaucratic transformation, especially the transformation of ASN as the main driving force of regional development.
The activity, which was held for three days at the Army Polytechnic (POLTEKAD) Malang, from 15-17 May 2025, targeted all levels of regional apparatus, from the regional secretariat to the village heads, which aimed to strengthen solidarity and internal synergy of the bureaucracy in order to realize a revolution in public services.
"Training like this is very important, because it not only trains leadership but also strengthens the foundation of work culture towards ASN that is service-oriented, accountable in performance, competent, adaptive to change, and collaborative which we also know as the core values of ASN Berakhlak," said Wahyu.
The number one person in the Malang City Government also advised that this training should not only be interpreted as a ceremonial agenda, but also as a reflective and transformational space to present better and more competitive public services. So that the community is expected to directly feel the impact through faster, more efficient, and more proactive services.
"We present quality speakers so that ASN can better understand the regulations and their responsibilities. Hopefully, this training will be the starting point for creating stronger coordination, collaboration, and solidarity," he said.
On the same occasion, the Head of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN), Prof. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, SH., MH, who was present as the main speaker, said that the alignment of frequencies between the leadership and all ASN is the key to realizing the vision of 'Towards a Classy Malang Mbois' through the Dasa Bakti of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Malang.
"ASN must move with a clear plan, do, check, planning, implementation, and evaluation pattern. This is where the public service revolution begins. ASN must shift from merely pursuing performance to concrete productivity. So they must dare to get out of their comfort zone, innovate, and provide proactive services," he said.
Prof. Zudan emphasized that direct meetings between regional leaders, from the Regional Secretary to the village head, will accelerate the achievement of the regional head's vision and mission and provide public services that are more solution-oriented and directly address the needs of citizens.
Through this training, the Malang City Government wants to ensure that every ASN is able to become a leader in their scope of duties, take the initiative, and move faster in responding to community needs. Adaptive and progressive services are expected to become the new standard of Malang City bureaucracy.
With this training, the people of Malang City will receive services that are not only faster and more efficient, but also more humane and have a real impact. Starting from administrative matters that are increasingly easy, fast responses to citizen complaints, to service innovations that reach directly to the community.
Also present at the opening of the Leadership Training and Strengthening Teamwork Building to improve solidarity and synergy of regional apparatus within the Malang City Government were the Mayor of Malang, Wahyu Hidayat accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ali Muthohirin, the Head of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN), Prof. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, SH., MH, and the Commander of the Army Polytechnic, Brigadier General TNI Dr. Triadi Murwanto, SE, MM.
