Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Mayor of Malang Wahyu Hidayat together with the Commander of the Indonesian Navy Main Base (Danlantamal) V Rear Admiral TNI Dr. Arya Delano, SE, M.Pd., M.Han., Commander of Abdulrachman Saleh Air Base Col. PNB. Reza RR Sastranegara, S.Sos, MAP, MNSS along with related staff reviewed the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program at SMP Negeri 19 Malang City, Monday (19/5/2025).
In his review, the Mayor of Malang expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the MBG program which has been running since April 28, 2025. "Today, together with the Danlantamal and Danlanud, as well as the Forkopimda ranks, I saw the process directly, from cooking at Lanal to serving it to students at SMPN 19. The results were very good, the students looked enthusiastic and enjoyed the food served," he said.
The menu served in the MBG program includes rice, vegetables, chicken, fruits, and milk that meet the complete nutritional standards of four healthy five perfect. Wahyu also hopes that this program can have a positive impact on students' enthusiasm for learning and improve the quality of education in Malang City.
On the same occasion, Danlantamal V, Rear Admiral TNI Arya Delano explained that the implementation of MBG in Malang is part of the national program of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) which is implemented through the Indonesian Navy. "Lanal Malang was chosen because it has representative facilities and infrastructure for cooking activities. This activity also collaborates with the local government," he said.
Currently, through the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) Lanal Malang, approximately 3.000 portions of nutritious food are prepared every day. This number is planned to be increased to around 4.000 portions, depending on the policy of the central government regarding the addition of quotas. This increase will have an impact on the need for additional personnel for cooking activities and supporting equipment.
The implementation of the MBG program in Malang City is currently fully coordinated by the center, some of the implementers are Lanal Malang and Ponpes Bahrul Maghfiroh which targets ten schools, consisting of five elementary schools and five junior high schools including SMP Negeri 19 Malang City. In addition, there are also implementers in the Bareng area and CSR in Lowokwaru. The hope for the future is that this MBG program can reach all schools in the Malang City area.
Also present at the MBG review this time were Danrem 083/BDJ, Danlanud Abdulrachman Saleh, Danlanal Malang, Dandim 0833/Malang City and other related ranks. (yul/yn)
