Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Education and Culture Office (Diskdikbud) held a Socialization of the New Student Admissions Implementation System (SPMB) for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, Thursday (22/5/2025). The activity, which was attended by supervisors, principals, and school committees, aims to ensure that the implementation of SPMB for Kindergarten, Elementary, and Junior High School levels in Malang City can run smoothly.
Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Office, Suwarjana, said that through this socialization, it is hoped that the process of accepting new students this year will run transparently. "We are committed to the implementation of this SPMB to be transparent and accountable. With a transparent and fair system, we hope to create a conducive education ecosystem, which not only accommodates academic growth but also forms superior character for Malang City," he said.
The Malang City Education and Culture Office has also issued guidelines for the implementation of SPMB for the 2025/2026 academic year. This document is a guideline for the implementation of new student admissions based on the principles of objectivity, transparency, accountability, fairness, and non-discrimination. "The Malang City Government's efforts to realize quality education for all, because every student, without exception, has access to educational services that are in accordance with their needs and potential," he continued.
An important point that was also emphasized in this socialization was the implementation of a clean SPMB, without bribery, gratification, and extortion practices. "This activity aims to ensure that the process of accepting new students is transparent and free from corrupt practices," he concluded.
Present as resource persons in this activity were the Clean Sweep Team for Illegal Levies (Saber Pungli) of the Malang City Police, the District Attorney's Office, and the Malang City Regional Inspectorate. (ari/yn)
