Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Mayor of Malang, Wahyu Hidayat symbolically handed over the Decree (SK) for the Appointment of 50 Prospective Civil Servants (CPNS) for the Malang City Government for the 2024 Formation in the Meeting Room of the Malang City Hall, Tuesday (27/5/2025).
In his direction, Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat emphasized the importance of bureaucratic discipline and ethics as the main foundation in service as a state civil servant (ASN).
Wahyu said that the appointment as a CPNS is not just a status, but a commitment to all the rules and responsibilities as a civil servant. "Bureaucratic ethics are something that must be carried out. This includes how to interact with leaders, colleagues, and communicate well and politely with the community," he said.
The 50 CPNS who received the appointment decree consist of 47 people from the general formation, two best graduates, and one person from the disability path. For one year, they will undergo the CPNS period, including taking pre-service training. The assessment during this period will determine whether they are worthy of being appointed as PNS.
Wahyu also reminded that since registering as a CPNS, every individual must be ready to submit to binding regulations, as stated in PP Number 94 of 2021 concerning Civil Servant Discipline and Law Number 5 of 2014 concerning ASN.
"ASN must be able to carry out their functions professionally, responsibly, and continuously improve their capacity and quality of performance, in order to support the realization of clean, efficient, and quality public services," said the number one person in the Malang City Government.
Not to forget, at the event witnessed by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City, Assistant, and the heads of related regional apparatuses, the Mayor of Malang congratulated the CPNS while emphasizing that their performance would be an important part in driving the progress of Malang City's development.
