The Mayor of Malang, Wahyu Hidayat had the opportunity to attend this activity and at the same time provide motivation and encouragement to all educational units within the Malang City Government to realize quality education as a basic capital in producing human resources that are able to drive regional progress in a sustainable manner. The Mayor of Malang emphasized that the ATS problem is not just a number in statistics, but a real challenge that requires systemic, collaborative, and sustainable solutions.

"Of course I appreciate all parties who have worked hard in the identification, mentoring, and reintegration of ATS into the education system. The results disseminated today are not just administrative notes, but a reflection of the collaborative spirit and mutual cooperation of all educational units in realizing educational justice," said the number one person in the Malang City Government.

For information, based on data from the Malang City Education and Culture Office, there are still around 3.250 ATS that must be completed. The data has decreased by 41 percent, where in 2024 there will still be 5.555 ATS. "Of course this will be a challenge for educational units. Therefore, planning documents must be inclusive, responsive to the social context, and include strategic programs to accommodate ATS to return to learning. Considering that schools are not only places to learn, but also places to return for children who have been disconnected from education," he said.

Furthermore, the Mayor of Malang conveyed a message to all educational units, related agencies, and community elements not to stop at the data collection and dissemination stage, but to go further by preparing a concrete action plan, synergizing programs, and building an educational ecosystem that restores and empowers.
