Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – As an effort to improve the administrative order of the implementation of regional cooperation (KSD), both cooperation between regions and with other parties, the Government Section of the Regional Secretariat (Setda) of Malang City held a Regional Cooperation Socialization and Regional Cooperation Implementation Desk activity in 2025 at The Boutique Shalimar Hotel, Thursday (19/6/2025).

The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, who was present and provided direction, said that regional cooperation is a business process that must be carried out by the regional government in an effort to develop and improve public services, which is carried out both vertically and horizontally.
"This cooperation sometimes we replicate the success story of public services that are also exemplified, or imitated, or replicated by other regions, then also in implementing public services. Including with business entities," he said.
In carrying out this collaboration, Erik emphasized the importance of regulations that must be considered by regional apparatus, especially related to laws or regulations so that problems can be minimized in the future.
"Because when it comes to cooperation, it means that the cooperation becomes a law that must be obeyed in the future, so that there are no legal problems from the cooperation carried out by regional apparatuses within the Malang City Government," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Government Section of the Malang City Secretariat, Yuyun Nanik Ekowati, revealed that during the period from 2020-2025, the Malang City Government has implemented 16 regional collaborations, 90 Regional Cooperations with Third Parties (KSDPK) and five synergies with ministries, all of which have been inventoried and reported, both to the Provincial Government and Autonomy Bureau and to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
"We have sent the semester report and recapitulation of cooperation to the Minister of Home Affairs and the Governor of East Java as fulfillment of monitoring and evaluation data," he explained.
With the many collaborations carried out, Yuyun assessed that the Socialization of Regional Cooperation and the Regional Cooperation Implementation Desk were important to be implemented as an effort to provide understanding to regional apparatus regarding the process or stages of submitting regional cooperation and the development of regional cooperation that will be carried out by the Malang City Government in the future.
In addition, he also assessed that there were still several obstacles experienced by the Malang City Government in carrying out cooperation between regions, including the absence of a cooperation application so that the administrative process of cooperation and cooperation applications from other regions or from third parties were still not orderly.
"From several obstacles, we expect some input and suggestions from the Ministry of Home Affairs so that the cooperation carried out in Malang City can run well and in accordance with the provisions of the law," he concluded. (iu/yn)
