Klojen (mangkota.go.id) – The Malang City team managed to defeat Jember Regency in the 2025 East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) IX soccer match at the Gajayana stadium, Thursday (19/6/2025).
The victory with a final score of 2-1 also received appreciation from the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ali Muthohirin who also witnessed the match directly. According to him, the victory achieved was thanks to the hard work of all parties, from players to officials.
"The match went very well and the results were as expected. The support from the community was also very good, so it also added to the children's enthusiasm when playing on the field," added Deputy Mayor Ali.
The Deputy Mayor hopes that the Malang City soccer team can continue to maintain hope to win the next matches. "Later there will definitely be an achievement bonus given, especially if this team can win a medal. Both institutionally from the Malang City Government, Disporapar, DPRD and me personally," said Ali.
On this occasion, the Deputy Mayor also told about the physical condition of the players during the second half which seemed to decline and almost injured. "Of course we will evaluate this team thoroughly, especially the physical problem," explained Deputy Mayor Ali. (say/yn)
