Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Youth, Sports and Tourism Office (Disporapar) of Malang City held a joint prayer and istigasah at the Malang City Disporapar Office, Friday (20/6/2025). This activity was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Malang Ali Muthohirin, the ranks of regional apparatus heads, sub-district heads, village heads, and religious scholars.
This joint prayer was held to pray that the implementation of the 2025th East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) XNUMX in Malang Raya (Malang City, Malang Regency and Batu City) would run smoothly and successfully.
"Especially for Malang City, it is hoped that this biennial sporting event will be successful in its implementation and that Malang City will achieve the best results in terms of medals," said Deputy Mayor Ali in prayer.
In addition, Deputy Mayor Ali prayed that the target of becoming the overall champion can be realized. "We have tried our best, starting from the athletes, officials, KONI and all ranks of the regional apparatus (PD). We are optimistic that what we are targeting can be realized," he said.
Regarding the current medal tally, Deputy Mayor Ali said that so far it has been quite optimal. Several sports branches have presented their best achievements and contributed medals, and some sports branches even exceeded their targets, such as Hapkido and Taekwondo.
"Until now, we are still surpassing the city of Surabaya which has always been the overall champion. This must be maintained! Although it could change later, we remain optimistic.
