Plenary Meeting to Deliver General Views of Factions on the Mayor's Explanation of the Malang City Draft Regional Regulation on Accountability for the Implementation of the 2024 Fiscal Year Regional Budget

In this plenary meeting, seven faction representatives expressed their views on several matters, such as budget absorption, achievement of revenue targets, facilities for the 9th East Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) in Malang City, which is one of the hosts, and other matters.

From the presentation of the views of this faction, in general they asked for an explanation of various work programs, budget use, realization of budget use and various inputs so that in the future Malang City will be better in various sectors.

Responding to this, Malang Mayor Wahyu Hidayat said that it was normal for several revenue targets not to be achieved, considering the dynamics of implementation in the field.

"Some targets have not been met 100 percent, and we will explain this in detail in the next plenary session," said Mayor Wahyu.

Wahyu further said, although there are some sectors that have not been met, there are many other sectors that have met the target and even exceeded it. One of the factors for the less than optimal income, according to him, is the change in regulations from the center that also affects the potential for regional income.

"Later we will continue to coordinate with the heads of regional apparatus and the ranks of the DPRD regarding the accountability report for the 2024 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget, so that later it can be accepted and ratified," concluded Wahyu. (say/yn)
